Gas Turbines
Mitsubishi Power’ gas turbines incorporate a number of critical leading-edge technologies.
Gas turbines are the core components in Gas turbine combined cycle (GTCC) power plants. Mitsubishi Power has worked on the development of gas turbines for many years and has integrated the latest aerodynamics, cooling design and material technologies to create a variety of products that realize high efficiency and reliability. Our state-of-the-art J-series gas turbines lead the world in capacity and efficiency, with an inlet temperature capacity of 1,600℃.
Aero-derivative Gas Turbines
Mitsubishi Power leads the aero-derivative gas turbine industry.
Our aero-derivative gas turbines evolved from innovations to the proven technologies of Pratt & Whitney’s world-class jet engines and industrial gas turbines.
These gas turbines provide 30 to 140 megawatts of efficient, reliable power and deliver operational savings to energy providers worldwide. Our largest unit has the highest power output of any aero-derivative gas turbine package and is available in single and dual engine configurations for maximum operating flexibility.
Mobile units are highway compatible and can provide emergency power in nine days or less upon arrival.
With modular designs, quick-disconnect cables, factory assembled modules, and pre-fabricated field piping, our aero-derivative gas turbines are designed to minimize setup time and promptly begin generating the precise power you need.
Steam Turbines
Contributing to Power Generation Globally for More than a Century
Mitsubishi Power steam turbines are a result of more than a century of R&D and manufacturing experience. Our highly reliable and efficient steam turbines have undergone strict in-house testing and quality management procedures to meet the diverse requirements of our global customer-base.
We offer a comprehensive lineup of small and mid-sized steam turbines for industrial applications, as well as large steam turbines for steam, nuclear, and geothermal power plants. Our applications and services are tailored to meet the functional requirements of our customers and to further our sustainable obligations to the environment.
Boilers
Delivering Boilers with world-leading quality and performance.
Boilers are key components of thermal power plants. They convert the chemical energy contained in fossil fuels such as coal, oil and gas into thermal energy through combustion reactions and use the resultant high-temperature and high-pressure steam-based thermal energy for supplying steam turbines used in power generation. Mitsubishi Power supplies only boilers of the highest quality and performance, built on a vast breadth of experience and state-of-the-art technologies.
Types of Boiler
While there are various types of boilers depending on the amount, pressure and temperature of the steam they produce and the fuel they use, they generally come under one of two categories: drum boilers and once-through boilers.
A Boiler has three main components. The economizer preheats the water supplied to the boiler. The superheater allows steam to pass through up to a designated temperature. The furnace that encloses the combustion field is the part of a boiler system exposed to the harshest conditions.
In a drum boiler, to ensure reliability of the furnace area, there is a drum that continually supplies water to the furnace system.
A once-through boiler is a simpler structure that does not require the drum function.
